NOTE: MAKE SURE JAVA 21 IS YOUR PRIMARY JAVA VERSION OTHERWISE THE (.bat) & (.sh) FILES WON'T WORK!

If you know what you're doing you can ignore everything below.

First, create a folder anywhere, preferably on your desktop. Unzip all files from the server files package into that new folder.

Now depending on your operating system you should now run the .bat file if you're on Windows or run.sh if you're on Linux.

>>> READ BELOW:

### WINDOWS: 
Accept the EULA inside the 'eula.txt' then run the 'start.bat' file (double left-click it). This will start the server for you.

(You also need to port-forward if you're gonna host it for friends across the globe then you're good to go. Google how to do it if you don't know how!)

### LINUX/UBUNTU: 
Right click the file 'start.sh', select properties. Now go to the tab 'permissions' and checkbox the 'Execute' so its orange checkmarked, (allow executing file as program).

Accept the EULA inside the eula.txt.

Now right click anywhere on empty space in the server files folder and press 'Open in Terminal'. Drag the 'start.sh' file into the terminal, press enter in the terminal- ..now it'll start the server.

(You also need to port-forward if you're gonna host it for friends across the globe then you're good to go. Google how to do it if you don't know how!)

### Do you want to change the allocated RAM? Read below:

WINDOWS / UBUNTU, LINUX:
Edit the file "user_jvm_args.txt" in a text-editor. Scroll down until you see the line "-Xmx", change "8G" to your desired number.
Save the text file.. and you're good to go!

1G = 1024
2G = 2048
3G = 3072
4G = 4096
5G = 5120
6G = 6144
8G = 8192
12G = 12288
16G = 16384
